hi, i need help here, i want to be able to monitor my network activity like when i issue a ping 192.xxx.xxx.xxx -t on the command line, this is ok, but what if i want to keep track of this event? and i leave my computer for 24/7 is there any other way i could see all the logs? like speed, timeouts? any software available to do this? thanks in advance.

wireshark is a good network monitoring tool. you can filter what type of packets to view. filter icmp if you want to monitor your pings.
