Network Printer problems

We have a small wired network with shared HP 1000 series printers. We added a wireless access for a single Dell laptop through Linksys wireless router. The laptop can access all network and internet but the shared printer will not allow it to print. The connection is good, proper drivers installed, host computer allows sharing of the printer. If the print command is given the proper sequence of messages is displayed and even the document is printing message is shown. The document never enters the que and is never shown on the status of the printer.
I'm stumped! any thoughts( other than burn it and start over?)

Just a suggestion to narrow down the problem:
Connect the laptop using a cat-5 cable directly to the network (not wireless) and see if it works, that would narrow down the problem quite a bit.

 

Triied several connections and locations the laptop will not print. Changed drivers we can "see" the computer and adjust settings and so n but no print...

 

Hmm, how did you install the Print Device drivers? Throught the Print Server? I was thinking the problem was wit hthe way the Laptop was connecting (wireless) but if you have tried connecting the laptop directly via a CAt-5 cable then let me cut to the chase...try connecting the Printer directly to the printer using a (preferably) a Parallel cable or USB camble (if supported) that way if it is a problem with the way network/sharing configurations having the problem or if it is the drivers/laptop itself causing the problem....
