I have an issue, please help in resolving it.

i have connected all my client pcs and a server to my hub. all my clients access an application in the server and the server runs as a dhcp.with the existing setup.i am able to access all my clients. my ip range for this network is 10.0.0.0 / 8
I have got a broadband conenction, the provider has placed a xavi router and have conencted the router in to the hub in the uplink port. When connected in this setup i have disabled the server which runs the dhcp and all my clients have given the ip network of 192.168.1.0/24 . with this setup. i am not able to ping the router ip, which is 192.168.1.1. When connected client to the router i am able to ping and browse the router.but when connected to the hub in the uplink port with a straigh cable, it is not working.

Please help in to solve this issue.

    Thanks in advance

So all PCS are connected to a hub that is connect via the uplink to a broadband router. So the router give ips in the 192.X.X.X range?
Do all client PCs get an ip in this range?
What is the subnet mask for the routers 192 address?
    Run ipconfig /all.
Are you releasing the 10.x.x.x network addresses on the clients?

Thanks for the reply, in the router we have configured it as a dhcp. with the range 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.254 / 255.255.255. the client pcs are not getting the ip automatically. When manually added the ip also. i am not able to ping the router ip.

So either the routers DCHP sever is not enabled or your PCs are not set to "obtain IP address automatically".
How are you managing the router? (via some web interface w/ IE?)
Is the router / broadband modem all in one?
You have a plain "unmanaged hub" & straight cables on all connections?
What is the router IP your pinging?

it has been solved, i have tried with a cross cable and assigned the router with 10.x.x.x.

    Thanks for the replies.
