network problem

Help,
Ever since i reformatted my main pc the other slave pc can't see any shared files on main pc.
although internet sharing works fine. all settings are correct and i have used the wizard on both machines again. running xp pro on both.
still no go.
i can see files on the slave pc but it cant see any on mine.
is there a way to reset the whole thing and start again?
any help greatly appreciated...

the same thing is happening to me except now i can share files, but not the net. you need to be more specific also. what OS do u run, whats the maker, and so on....... give us the #'s you got. the more the better

 

ohh ya try renaming the workgroup on the main comp, then restart then for you networked comp, change the work group name and restart that let me share files, but the nbet is still gone for me

I am running xp pro on both computers.
I have set them up for home office network.
All worked before but since I reformatted my pc no good.
I even reformatted the slave pc but that didnt fix it either.
the slave pc does'nt see my main pc.
when i try to add a networking place i can see my main comp name but when i click on it there is no plus sign to let nmy go down the tree.
help
