Network Security Service help

I have found out that I have the Home Search Assistent hijack on my computer. I am very hopeful that the excellent guides on this site will fix the problem. However, I have come across a problem.

One of the prepatory steps is to:

3: Network Security Service; If you have the about:blank or home search hijack you need to check to see if a Windows service name "Network Security Service" is running. To do this, click Start, Run, and enter the following in the Open box: "services.msc" (without the quotes). Then click OK. Now in the Services window that pops up look for exactly "Network Security Service". If you find
that service, you must stop it by right clicking on it then select stop. Now disable it by right clicking on it and selecting Properties. Then in the General tab see the area that says "Startup type: " click on the pull down arrow and change it to Disabled.


When I try to run services.msc I get the error message:

Windows cannot find "services.msc". You may have typed the name incorrectly in the Run dialog, or another open program cannot find a system file. To search for a file, click the start button, and then click search.

I suspect that this is because I use Windows ME. I would like to know how to perform this step in Windows ME.

This question is mainly directed towards the authors of the guides, but any helpful replies are welcomed.
