Network Subnetting

The address prefix 30.138.118/23 has been assigned to an FDDI Ring with 3 routers. Two routers has a LAN attached to it and another has 2 LAN attached to it.

FDDI Ring
Router 1 - LAN A
Router 2 - LAN B
Router 3 - LAN C and LAN D


I need to know what the assign address prefixes should be for each of the subnets.


FDDI Ring - with 3 Host - ???
LAN A - with 91 Host - ???
LAN B - with 150 Host - ???
LAN C - with 3 Host - ???
LAN D - with 15 Host - ???

I noticed that you wrote 30.138.118/23 . Does that imply the last octet is 0? Just want to make sure before I take a stab at it.

I've forgotten a lot about subnetting but this sounds right...

30.138.118 /23 subnet mask 255.255.254.0
ID: 30.138.118.0 RANGE: 30.138.118.1 - 30.138.119.254
Broadcast : 30.138.119.255
That there gives you approximately 510 hosts. I don't really get how you network is designed / distributed.
