Network

Hello
All of a sudden my network wont work. The one I am typing on is the one that is hard wired to road runner. All the others can see this computer but this computer cannot see the network. I use to be able to print from all computers but no longer can. I cannot access this computer from any other and from this machine cannot see any other. It happened like overnight. I have changed out modem/router today from Time Warner have done a system restore to a month ago. I have worked on this for two days. Please help. All computers can access the internet and send/receive mail. I am running Windows XP Sp3 media edition,Dell XPS 400, 2 gigs ram and LOTS of hd space.

Sounds like a firewall issue. Try running that comp with no firewall at all, and if that fixes it then check that the firewall setting aren't blocking your local addresses.

It is perfectly safe to run that comp with no firewall when behind a router.
