    HI...

Has anyone networked a Digital Video camera. I want to use it as a remote Web Cam. It is a JVC TK-C1381.

Where do we start, OK, networking a camera and using one for a web cam are two totally different things.
To Network a camera you need a 'Network Camera' one that is IP based. OR a camera that your computer will recognize and software like VLC to stream it or host it for others to see.
Web Cams are a little more forgiving, you can use an off the shelf webcam (USB) for about $30.00 or even a handy cam with USB, SVideo, firewire connections. As long as your computer has one of these inputs, more than likely the computer can be configured to use that signal for some type of messenger webcam.
Next, you do not have either. Though you camera does output Composite video I'm willing to bet that your computer does not have a BNC composite input connector. What you will need is a capture card like from 'Hauppauge' or similar. It will receive just about any input, be it Composite, NTSC, SVIDEO ect and display that in the software provided to include camera inputs, dvd players, and cable TV!
If your really interested in using a CCTV camera as a web cam I know of only a few computers that have composite inputs. Sony Viao's, Gateways Media Edition and Im sure a few other High end Media PC's. The only thing you would need is an adapter to go from the RCA to BNC.
    Good luck.
