I have successfully networked my desktop and laptop with a microsoft wireless router. My desktop is the gateway computer. I am able to receive and send AOL instant messages on my laptop, but cannot access any web pages with IE. The error that comes up is: Page cannot be displayed. Both computers run on Windows XP Professional.

Well, I downloaded Netscape and am able to browse the internet through that. I still wonder why IE won't work on my networked computer. Hope this helps others that encounter the same problem.

    Hi,

Had to reply to this one after many hours spent pouring over why IE wouldnt work through my router and using aol's IE browser, only a few sites available.

The answer, in my case, was to change the MTU setting on the router - although I couldn't on my D-Link 604+ - it doesn't let you. So, I found a great little program called DrTCP where I could change the MTU to 1400 and TCP receive to 13600 - and bingo - fired up a treat and was then able to download SP2...but thats another story!!!!
