While running the Home Networking Wizard on my Sony (WinXP), it asks me to make a Network Wizard/Setup disc to run on my old computer (a Dell, on WinME). However, I can't create this disc through my Sony (don't have the memory stick to do it, & my Dell can't take a Sony memory stick anyway.)... so is it okay if I just make this disc through a friend's computer that's runing on winXP to use on my Dell?

Usually it is a floppy disc, do you have a floppy drive?

You may be able to burn the Info on to a CD if you have a burner ???? Hope this may work for you , Glenn

My Sony doesn't come with a floppy disc drive, and the ONLY option it allows me to create this disc is by memory stick (even though i have a DVD-rw drive). However, today I went to my friend's house and obtained the wizard disc from her XP running computer.

But I still can't get a network setup between my Dell & WinXP. *cry*
