networking FAH

Have managed to set up networking between XP and ME :banghead
is all working fine - file transfer and internet sharing

But, i cannot get FAH (GUI version 4.00) on the client computer (ME) to download a WU
it cannot get connect to the assignment server

Anyone know of how i should have the configuration set to achieve this ? :confused

 

Are you using a firewall on either machine. and or a proxy server type setup?

XP has comodo firewall

managed to sort it out through guesswork

It has 3 choices

Use internet explorer settings
Set a proxy server
Use a proxy username/password

works on the last one using the network name of the host computer
so I guess I've got a proxy whatsit or something
the amount of times I had to change settings on the ME computer just to get the network to work has left me confused as to how exactly it is set up.
the XP end pretty much took care of itself
I'ts a wonder it works at all
