Networking Help ... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

    Alright ... got my puter to recognize the master.... that's fixed.... but now it won't connect to the internet .... My computer is on and hooked up but my mother's so I know the net is fine ... but not sure why the internet worked before but does not now .... both the computers share a cable modem and a router. I ran the network wizard on her's ... disabled the firewall.... can someone please tell me what the deal is?

    Did you reset the cable modem? maybe its a dhcp issue..
    Did you try ipconfig? Are you getting a good IP (not 169.x.x.x)?
