You'll have a hard time getting someone to do your shopping for you. What I recommend is Cat5e Plenum grade. It's cheap and can be run about 300 + feet. You will need a Network crimp kit and a handfull of RJ-45 connectors. You will find a wide variety of Crimp kits out there as much as $200.oo or more. Most Kits will come with a starter bag of RJ-45's and thats all you will need. I saw a $20.00 model on newegg but it was just the crimper. You would be better off getting one with a cable tester also. What that does is let you know if you are making good contact IN the RJ 45 point to point after you are done your cable. As far as the pinout......... well you can make your own as long as they are the same on both sides but that is not recommended! You are better off following industry standards for the pin out.

You can google the pin out and get pretty pictures if you want, that order actually has a rhime and reason.

Lastly, if your feeling like having room to expand for future you can go with Cat6. It is rated for Gigabit which is 100 times faster than Fast ethernet.

I havn't priced 1000 ft of Cat5e but you should be able to get a nice network Crimp kit with connectors, Tester, striper and punch down block for about $50.00.
    Happy shopping

Neither could I. All I found was that one Crimper for $19.99. Try ebay, Overstock or some other online store.

    good luck
