Guessing this would be in software. At work, we have the Comcast cable router hooked up to a switch. For the shop area, I hard wired a Linksys wireless router flashed to DD-WRT. As far as I can tell, the DD-WRT is acting as a router, assigning in the 192.168.1.XXX range. And the Comcast is assigning in the 10.1.10.XXX range. All have internet, and all the wired computers can see and share all shared printers.

My problem is getting the wireless computers able to see and use the printers on the wired network. I have googled a lot, not found anything definitive. I am guessing I need to make the DD-WRT a WAP, so the Comcast device assigns the IP.

A bit lost on the IPV6 stuff. We have a blend of Win7 and XP computers. Most are now Win7, but a couple of the shop computers are wireless on WXP. I need them to be able to print on the network printer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :cool

Best put the Linksys behind the Cable modem, then plug the switch into there if you need more ports. That way everyone will be on the same network. Also go into the Comcast modem and set it as a 'bridge' - let the linksys handle DHCP and everything for the network.

You could make the Linksys into just a wireless access point
