I got a bad download somehow on my computer. My screen first went pink while I had firefox open and wow.
Anyways, my computer shut down. I started it back up, it shut down. I started safe mode, hoping to delete whatever make it go whacky. It wouldnt update my virus ware since I had "no connection".
Well. I got it to start up normal, My network icons don't show. I went to the folder, There is nothing in it at all. I don't know what I should do really. There is not a wired or wireless connection. It is all blank and when I click anything like, set up network ect, if says Go to help and support. which never rllllyyy helps sometimes on bad stuff.
    wahh....I hope I make sense.
My system restore and search don't seem to work also:(
If it helps it is a HP laptop.

If you have information on the computer you want to keep, it's time to make a backup.

After that, your HP system resotre disk should be able to return the system to the same state it was in when you bought it. Usually these disks are bootable, so pop it in, and turn the computer on. Even if the drive is really messed up with a virus, booting off of the resotore disk will allow the restore to work properly. Just keep in mind, this sort of restore wipes everything, and you get the computer just like when you bought it.

I been looking for my cd and I can't find it. My bf said maybe it is something to do with my harddrive and it took a dive and messed up. It makes a weird noise and it dont seem like my fans.
I am going to call gateway but I don't know how to go about it. I don't remember signing up my computer so I dont know if they will help me.....hmmmmm.....it don't seem like a virus that was on the network other computer were not messed up.
