Ive been playing halo pc online with netzero for about a month now. and w days ago whenever i start netzero and connect. then open halo my internet freezes and shuts off. I called microsoft they told me to call netzero. but im not payin no 1.95 a min for them to put me on hold. I thought maybe netzero might close itself down cause of the res change from desktop to game. so i made them both the same res and that seemed to only buy me about 10 more seconds before it would shut off. if i keep halo minizmized the moment i start it my connection is fine.

Ive tried about 6 different halo forums and nobody knows nada. so now im trying a software forum.. im desparate

    thanks.

    btw im on win 2k

also wanted to add ive made no software changes or progam changes to my comp. and that microsoft tech guy was rambling something about ports but who knows i dont think he knew what he was talkin about. the key in this lil problem is that it drops when halo is full screen....

Well First thing we will need is your specs. which version of windows, cpu, ram, hd, etc.

Dont think full hardware specs matter on this issue but. Amd 1300 mhz (2700+) 328 (i think) ram crucial. Asus a7n8x mobo. 40gb HDD cant remember manufacturur. its all barely half a year old and ive never expierenced problems with it. I reinstalled halo and it would stay connected and everything until i downloaded the patch so maybe that has something to do with it.

If i start halo than minimize it real fast im good. than i can open it for about 10 seconds and whatever and my interenet will freeze but if i minimize it again 5 seconds later my interenet kicks back in... kinda like halo is blocking it somehow or something. im running out of things to do here. One more thing the patch used to work fine with netzero this is a completely random problem.

    also i am on win 2k sp4

well all in all halo has bad packet sending anyway so everyone expierences lag but for some reason i can handle it. But i mean i connect at around 50k/s so thats more than enough info to be transferred. halo isnt as fast paced like UT2k4 or Rtcw:ET. so i think thats why i can handle it. and i mean the graphics all rely on your card.

But im still looking for help here guys i can believe no ones figured it out yet lol. Ive updated my modem software tongiht and still no change.
