new asus MB will not power up to post

    Sensing a fail of my old MB ( and maybe using it as an opportunity to upgrade ) I ordered a MB combo ASUS B85M-G, INTEL Core I3, 4130 , ADATA ram 4gb two of them. I have assembled computers before so I did not expect a problem.

    When power on. CPU fan spins. No post on monitor. Monitor works on other computers . I pulled the ram sticks alternatively and tried them alone and together. I unpluged all drives so it is just the the MB, CPU Ram and monitor. does not post to where i can see bios. I have never run into this before. Oh yes I checked and there is no jumper on the bios reset. I tried a second power supply and checked the cpu seating.

    Should I send back? I hate to be missing something simple.
