New Bittorrent Wont Work

Well title explains it all

The new bittorrent out simply doesn't work and after searching google it doesn't seem to work for many people!

I've had no problems with the old version but for some reason this one connects to nothing.

I have cogeco cable internet, port 6881 open on UDP and TCP and I'm using a linksys router. I also have my SP2 firewall enabled.

Anyone have any ideas or is it just a program bug?

 

4.0.2 works just fine for me. I am downloading FC4 from the Redhat servers right now as I type this. Make sure the Windows firewall isn't blocking the btdownloadgui, as the windows firewall will block this by default. Check even if you are using different firewall.

Is it possible my ISP suddenly started blocking all my ports?

I directly connected to the internet and it STILL doesn't work on both my computers.

Are they seriously allowed to do this?

 

Are you using another software firewall along with the Windows Firewall?

 

Some ISPs do block certain ports. Sometimes a simple call will get these ports unblocked. If this is ISP related that is.
