New Blank DVD's look dirty but...

How's everyone today?

Just got a couple new spindles of blank Ritek DVD's and they work great but one thing is bothering me a bit. Some of them look dirty on the bottom, but it's not dirt because it will not wash off. The "dirt" spreads around the outer part of the DVD. It doesn't cover the whole DVD only about half or a quarter and it's on on the outside part of the DVD and almost resembles fingerprints. They work fine with no problems. Any idea what this is? Should I send them back or is this something not to be worried about because they still work fine. Returning them would be a pain because I got them online.

 

DVDs have the recording layers sandwiched between two layers of plastic. It could be the way they glued them together. Contact Ritek and ask them if this could be a problem they are aware of, or if it's an appearance issue only.

 

thanks I emailed Ritek hopefully I will get a response. What do you think? Since they work fine should I be worried about it?

 

OK I took apart one of the DVD's with the problem and the stain is on the plastic not the inside where the ink is.. what do you think?
