    I did not do anything...it just appeared on my screen.... I thought perhaps that it was at the MG site that got corrected.....too funny... must be a sattelite prob or Aliens taking over..... :D

    i pulled sound card; this allowed win to come up.

    found old/old copy of 98/2 in disc pile; loaded snd drivers.

    all is well.
