I must be the only system builder that didn't know this. I just completed a new build and installed windows xp. the problem I experienced was that I also added one of those usb card readers for digital camera memory cards and plugged it into usb1 on the motherboard. the xp install went smoothly without a hitch but when I went into explorer the primary hard disk was labeled H: instead of C: and the card reader was labeled C,E,F,G. I wanted the hard disk as C: so I had to reformat the hard drive which took forever again with the card reader unplugged from the motherboard. that did the trick. anyway, if anyone doesn't know like I didn't, if your're installing a card reader in your computer before you install the operating system make sure it's not plugged into the motherboard until after your o/s is installed.:)
