Also would it be recommended to get a different heat sink for the processor?

Wow. That is some monster build. BTW, you forgot a power supply.
With all the case fans in that thing, I think you can get away with just using the stock heat sink/fan for the cpu, or it you wish, take a look at the thermaltake and zalman units. I have always had good experienced with them.

    Thank you

Also I do have the power supply down there.

Yes indeed - I missed it the first time through.

A thought occurs to me. You are buying at the very tippy top of the price curve, beyond, IMO, the point of diminishing returns. Food for thought. Might it be better to step back one jump all around, and use that money partly for a good SSD? I think a good SSD will make the most apparent performance difference for you once you get into the higher end stuff.

I have the money to take the current HD out and replace it with something else but at the price for the sizes not sure. I can use up a good chunk of space pretty fast between downloading movies and music plus my games.

Actually, the SSD should only be utilized for Windows and your frequently used apps/games (or all of your apps/games, depending on the size of SSD you get... I have an Intel 120GB SSD and everything is installed on it). You can use HDDs for storage (documents, movies, music, etc.). The SSD will make opening and using applications MUCH faster. I built a beast of a computer, and added the SSD last, and noticed a very big speed increase in those things. For the money you're spending, an SSD would be a worthwhile add-in.

After doing a fair amount of research, I'm of the opinion that Intel makes the best SSDs, and Western Digital Caviar Blacks are the best consumer hard drives (good choice there!). Personally, I use a Seagate Constellation ES drive for a reliable backup drive (it's enterprise-grade)... however, it's got a LOT higher price tag if you're just using it for storage, and don't need the extreme reliability.

Also, for a power supply, I'd recommend either Corsair or Antec, as they're some of the best quality. I have a Corsair 1000W. If you want to keep that power rating, I'd go with this one:

Yes, that SSD would be great. If you want to max the speed though, a SATA III would be better (and a little pricier) like this one:

It's all about personal choice... I bought my SSD before the SATA III drives came out, and it's great. Either would be MUCH faster than using a standard hard drive for Windows/apps/games usage.

EDIT: Actually, the price difference is negligable... I'd go with the SATA III drive.

Also, as to the power supply, Cooler Master isn't a BAD brand... Corsair or Antec would simply be better. And for the money you're spending on everything else, a top of the line power supply would be the best choice. After all, a power supply can make or break every other hardware component in the machine!

Good luck on your build! By the way, that's a very nice case. I have an Antec Twelve Hundred, and the design looks very similar. I learned the hard way that cheap cases aren't worth it (started out with a cheaper full tower case, and had to replace it after 6 months).

What was the final configuration you settled on, and how did the build go?
