   Just bought a SAMSUNG DVD Burner SATA Model SH-224DB/BEBE ($19.98) from Newegg, just wondering if it does quality scans, no big deal if not, cannot find the info about quality scanning.T.I.A.

   Couldn't find nada on Samsung's site on specs. But looking at a suppliers site I use, this model does employ some corrective hardware/software but nothing in the way of pre-scanning for quality of that's what you are after.
   
   

   You could test the integrity of CD/DVDs using VSOInspector
