I'm going to get a new case with all that Birthday cash you get :D and was thinking possibly the top one on this page - http://www.xcase.co.uk/acatalog/Aspire__Xplorer__Neon_Midi_Tower_No_PSU.html

I was also looking at the completely clear acrylic ones but then someone said to me that there was more danger of static electricity (I was looking at either of the two clear ones here.

What do you guys think?? Top one on the first link ok, or have any of you had problems with that brand??

It makes sense an acrylic case would be static prone and I would be worried about making sure all your components are grounded, obviously they are all earthed through the power jacks,it just seems safer to me having each components cage screwed into something grounded.

flowing air and acrylic also dont mix, good airflow in an acrylic case will turn it into a static generator,of course the static will flow straight to the nearest grounded component

To be honest I dont know how safe it is,I'd be interested in what other members say

Aspire cases seem ok from what a few friends have said, that have them.... I'm more a fan of Coolermaster Aluminnnium [sic] cases and Woohooo they have the Wavemaster at near the price your going to pay for the Aspire, maybe another option McA http://www.xcase.co.uk/acatalog/Coolermaster_Wavemaster.html

I was tempted once to get a clear case over an alu one, until I thought... NIGHTMARE to keep clean from sticky fingers.

But yeah top one looks good and blue.. me likes blue lights :)

    Re: New Case...and graphics :)

I ordered the Aspire one :D

A friend of mine who's in the know about hardware etc was saying how unsafe they can be, and your components can fry easily etc, so I thought I'd get one with a metal chasis!

Just gonna upgrade the graphics now!!!!!
