New Comp problem

I have started up my PC after installing all the new components, and an error comes up saying:

Scan devices, Please wait...
Press <Tab> Key into User Window!
Serial_Ch0 Master : No Device
Serial_Ch1 Master : No Device

it then changes screen and says:

Fasttrak 378 (tm) Bios Version 1.00.0.37
(c) 2003 Promise Technology, Inc. All rights reserved.
Scanning IDE drives . . . . . . . .

that then says bellow it and says:
No drive attached to FastTrak controller, The BIOS is not installed.

It finally stops at:
Reboot and Select proper boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key.

I put my XP boot disk in and it comes up with the same reboot thing again.

Does anyone know how i can fix this

I think that is about it.

 

DOS diskettes and Fdisk are out-dated and, while they still work, are not needed.

Have you configured the BIOS? it sounds to me like you need to set a boot order and if possible, turn off your RAID controller. (or set it to IDE mode). Setting the CD-ROM to the first boot device will allow you to boot from your Windows disk.

also, are you using a Serial ATA hard drive?
