New computer has less than half the volume of old one

    And sounds like a tin can. Yes the system volume is all the way up. Yes I'm using the speakers from old computer. Windows 8.1
    What can I do about this ?

    Do you have speakers hooked up to the computer?

    If you right click the volume on attachment 1, then select playback devices on attachment two, are you sure you have the correct output audio for you device?

    It is set for 192000Hz studio quality. Is that what you mean? Yes- it is a desktop so I wouldn't hear anything if there were no speakers hooked up.
