Okay! I just ordered a new computer and I am going away for a few days and once I get back it'll be delivered and ready for use.

    What I bought was:

    A Dell Inspiron 530.

    I configured it with:

    2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo E4400
Vista Basic (I didn't want anything more)
    Dell 20" Widescreen LCD
    4GB 800Mhz DDR2 RAM
    250GB SATA NCQ
16X DVD+/-RW with Dual Layer Write Capabilities (I thought this was worth a shit load)
256MB XFX 8600GT with Quiet Zalman Heatsink

I was just wondering, since I've seen a few thigns on it, whether or not I should do anything before I install Vista Basic. Is there anything I should do before I set it up to improve it without buying new hardware? For example buying a un-branded (not Dell) Vista installation in order to get rid of the extras that come with it? Things like that.

    Regards.
