New computer.

Hello I have question for anyone to answer.. My family wanted to buy new computer for 599.00 or less dollars. And I was wondering what maybe you guys would suggest. I know black friday is coming. Only stores that we have is walmart, taret, kmart, jcpenny, sears. And I know there computers really ain't the greatest you'd need more RAM and etc... to make them a little more decent( atleast IMO, maybe I am wrong). But I was wondering what you guys would suggest that maybe they get.. it can be destop or laptop. Also newegg (I never delt with so trust is ... lol) and this computer really don't need to be the holy taledo.. But something nice and not to be upgraded any time soon. K thanks

 

Hi, have you checked with the Dell site, or the HP site? Maybe see what is available? You could probably check them, to see what you can buy in that price range, and that will give you a good idea.. Good idea, is to look around.. Wall mart does sell Dells, but more on the bare-bones type.. Let us know what you decide, OK? Best of Luck to ya! There should be some great deals out there..

 

What will you use the pc for?

 

Kinda of diff things.. normal gaming (not crazy gamer) and websites that have games.. Also just use it for surfing and playing anything Id like to put into it. Also I don't want el cheapo.. and I don't want to have to upgrade it soon. I messed around with Dell site few times custom computer.. But I was just thinking what would I want on it and come with it.. And what would I want to come with it to protect it.. since its not the best to have the firewalls and etc that comes with it.. I didn't know if having non at on when buildt is good or not. I rather have some stuff on it then nothing.. Be a plain computer. Another thing is I d like windows xp of some sort But a lot that I see is other kinds or windows 7.

 

I would say a dual core cpu 2-4 GB ram and a decent video card.
