new computer

Hey guys/gals just got a new computer, it came with norton anti-virus should i remove it and go with something else? What about the bloatware is there any programs you would recommend to help with the removal? I seen a program called the de-crapifier in the downloads section should i use it or something similiar. Thanks

As for keeping Norton anti-virus, I'll leave that to someone else.
You may do just as well with one of the free options Avast! Free Edition
or Avira Free Antivirus

I'm using Avast simply because, for me, it's easier to manage and things seem to be smoother with Avast.

Regarding Norton anti-virus, it is most likely a trial, and you will have to pay for it when the trial period expires. Google for 'norton removal tool' if PC Decrapifier does not remove it.

I am quite happy with Microsoft Security Essentials on (almost) all my systems. It's a very quick download and install. Very unobtrusive as well.

ASC is free too use only cost like 20$ a year with a key but its all so worth the unlock.

While i agree Norton sucks you could all so try AVG internet Security that's what i use.

Remove it and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Norton is a POS.
