I am new here and I hope this is the right forum to ask my question.

I have just changed to a new computer. The internet ISP that I am using is Netzero DSL. Before I made the change, I thought I would need the Netzero connection wizard program installed in the new computer in order to go online. But then right after I have hooked up the new computer, to my surprise, it connected online right away. Now I am surfing the net with no problem. I am very curious why I can be online without installing any netzero software in the new computer. Actually, am I using netzero to go online now? I know this might be a very dumb question. So please be bear with me if that's the case.

    Hi

No pretty fair question, and answer is because you already have NetZero setup and working on an older PC presumably, then the settings for your ISP will already be in your router for your access to DSL via your phone number.

So as soon as you plug in a Ethernet cable or connect via WiFi (with WiFi on a new PC you would have to enter the password to the WiFi connection), then your all set.
