    Hi Guys,

Got myself a 3.6GHz CPU, AsusTek P5ND2 SLI Deluxe Mainboard, 4GB Ram, an X1050 Videocard (Upgrading that shortly.

I can't get the chipset drivers becuase I don't know where on intels site is the suiting ones for my board/chipset, this also goes for audio, and onboard video, aswell as PCIe X1050 videocard.

Any idea's on where to find the drivers, doing a manual search, I get lost, and don't know which are which, I don't want to stuff this up and end up formatting again.

    Kindest Regards,

    David Giles

Just waiting for a mate to come around and take this X1050 off me in exchange for a Radeon 3850. Just paying out $150 price diffirence, which isn't bad at all, then I can play Batman - Arkham Asylum.

I just need the chipset drivers, videocard drivers, and any other drivers it needs.

Here's a snapshot of my hardware manager:

Trying out the Intel Chipset ID Utility, it comes up with an error, so I am a bit miffed as to where to go from here, on asus site in the download section for this mainboard, their is now Chipset INF files for download, so I dunno, hmmm

Did the MB come with a driver CD? If it did, then use that after you've installed your OS.

No, Didn't get an install CD with it, so i am unsure what chipset it is, I am assuming its an Intel/Nvidia nForce4 chipset, however downloading both drivers fails to work... hmmm

All the motherboard drivers you need should be available on this page of the Asus-Tek site:

    http://asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=WY7XroDuUImVbgp5

Your audio driver should be among the drivers listed.

Your video driver for the Radeon 3850 can be had here:

Good card, by the way. I have two of them - both the AGP and the PCI-E versions. I've been very happy with them; the graphic quality is amazing, plus the card can easily be overclocked if desired via the Catalyst control panel.

Is the Radeon 3850 better Than the X1950 in performance?

Touch wood, but everything seems to be running along smoothly! I am just waiting for a mate to come over so I can re-install Batman Arkham Asylum, to see how that performs on this new setup, I have a PCIe Radeon HD3850 instead of the old Radeon X1950 AGP8x, I don't know which card is better but this board does not have an AGP Port, Only 2 PCIExpress ports, and the option for nVidia SLI, Not ATI Crossfire.

Bit of a bummer but no biggie, does anyone here know if the HD 3850 is the better card over the X1950?

    Kindest Regards,
