New driver for Epson scanner

    Good morning, running XP Home SP2
    I have an Epson Perfection 636U that was purchased back when I had a Windows 98 computer. It worked great. Now I have an XP and find that Epson has not provided a driver for XP. Epson says that using the Windows 2000 driver works "fine", but apparently not on my XP, the scanner will not scan, although it still works on the old 98.
    Any device?

    Epson sys they do not have one yet, which means they don't plan on doing a new driver for XP. They say that the one on their support web for Windows 2000 will work fine, but I tried it and it did not work well for me. Maybe it will for you.
