   my sister bought a new dvd drive and installed it. it works fine but the software it came with will not work and when you play a dvd it plays the sound but no pic can someone help please.

   This happens when you have no video codecs installed, either you didnt get the right software with it or its not a dvd player, you can go to nero, sonic, or a few others and get a trial versoin to see if it will work. ed
