I'm doing a New Year's overhaul on our desktop. I use Zone Alarm and Avast on my laptop and I finally convinced my husband to let me do the same on his desktop (he uses NAV and Security). I've done the research and now how to get rid of NAV effectively, but before I go ahead and do it, I'm on a wireless Linksys router....is changing my firewall going to block my connection? Anything I need to be careful about before I start this process? Thanks for your advice.

It will not block the connection, but when you set up the new firewall, you will have to go through all the stuff to configure it (ie trusted zone for LAN).
