This is my first build... I have a few questions. During the build when I tryed to partition my HD I wanted to put the OS on one and then all the rest of my stuff on the other partition. Well after 2 Hours of trying I gave up and I just have everything on one.. I know this is prob dumb to do but every time I did it It kept putting windows on my C drive and would put nothing on my D drive.. It seemed to default everything to C.. I tryed putting my OS on D and it would not work.

Second I went with a Corsair H70 cooler and it said to hook the rad fans to the plug for the cpu fan on the mobo. I have a fan controller that I installed and hooked them up to that.. And disabled the warning in bios (giving me a no cpu fan warning) Will this be ok or does it even matter.. They are running at normal speeds and working.

    Thanks.

    My Build:
AMD Phenom II x4 970 (black)
    Asus Crossfire IV Formula Mobo
    ATI HD 5750
    Corsair Vengeance 8 GB Memory
Corsair H70 Cooler Liquid cooling system
    Cougar SX850 Power supply
    Seagate Barracuda 1TB HD

    Greetings, fatkat.

The partitioning problem may merely be an issue with formatting - what operating system version and Service Pack # are you using? If you were able to set up partitions when installing Windows, you may be able to go into Disk Management and format from there, but we'd have to know the OS version to list the exact steps.

As far as the fans - IMO, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! ;)

Sweet looking machine, by the way.

You might be better served by starting a new thread in the Software forum concerning your partition issues - true software gurus might be more likely to read the thread there.
