I just added a new hard drive to my computer that used to have windows xp on it. I deleted the partitions and formated the new drive but dont know what to do next. Also when i removed the little plastic thing from the jumpers the space on the drive doubled. So now I want to make that my master disk but i hooked it up as a slave to the other one. I know im not giving you the best info but i dont know what else to say about it. The drive is hooked up though and my computer recognizes it.

You are going to want the drive with your Operating System the Master drive. The second drive, that will be used as storage, will be the slave drive. The jumper settings for each hard drive slightly vary, but you should have the pin for master set on the drive you want as the master and the pin for slave set on the drive you want as the slave. Or you can set both drives on Cable Select and they will be the master or slave depending on where on the IDE cable they are connected. The furthermost drive will be the master, and the closest to the motherboard will be the slave.
