New Hard drive

Ok I had a 30GB HD, I just swaped it out for a 160GB and added 3GB of RAM from 512MB, I put the new RAM in 1st & it was great, next the HD but after I got it in, :-o I found I had no OS back-up disk or drivers for that matter, so I found and old version of XP Pro and installed it but my Dispaly will not go above 16mb. Huge Picture.
:confused So I guess I'm asking WWGD ( I know not to do) what in the world would a Geek do? Short of buying a new OS!
Please I know just enough to muck my whole system up. :cry

What brand are the drives? particularly the 160, reason i ask is, most drive manufacturers offer free apps to migrate your entire disk form one to another, in essence, you install the 160 as slave, let the app do its thing, then remove the 30, change your 160 to master and boot

 

Another reason for the huge picture is if your graphics drivers are not up to date.
