New here and and PC

    Hi everyone, really hope someone on here can help me with this problem.

    We recently bought a new pc, and the guy said we need to partition the computor, because windows xp is on the pc but not installed. Um what the heck does that mean.

    Not quite sure what that means. Usually that is already done for you.

    A partition is a separated space on your hard drive. For example, your OS and programs might be on the C: partition and your Recovery on the D: partition
    It would be best if you started a thread in Software with this topic so that you can get more folks looking and answering it for you.
