Problem, My 4890 is running to warm for my likeings.

I ordered the 4890 and a 860watt PSU on the same day, the 860watt PSU has 2 6pin PCIe connectors so i wouldnt need to use TWO adaptors(as the 650W doesn't have ANY)

The 4890 runs flawlessly at a nice and cosy 60 degrees C on the desktop. which i am not happy about. Ofcourse if i change the fan speed to 40-50% it runs at 47c.

I have 4 molex contectors and 2 sata connectors from my PSU these all up wont run my 3 120mm case fans without a molex spliter. I have two of them running off both molex cords. this gives me the leeway of having the fans on.

Yes, I know its an incredably SCREWED wiring method and is essential untill I fix my DOA 860w PSU.

Anyway these cant be normal temperatures for a single gfx card..any ideas? comments?

    Thanks

    Jayson-

Huh? If you have it running at 50% and your temps are a respectable 47°C, what were you running to get 60°C? The fan off?

Understand that 60°C for a graphics card is NOT hot. Graphics cards run considerably hotter than CPUs.

True, all realised but aparently its running slower then the benchmarks too,
some of them claim to get 7k and 8k on SM2/3(3dM06)

really i cant say anything untill i get my PSU back.

Okay - but again, 60°C for the GPU is nothing to worry about. If that were a CPU, however, 60°C is the point where I worry about system stability.
