Spent a few weeks trying to decide who to get a holster for my M&P Shield carry gun. On a friend's recommendation, and replies from the maker, I decided on a Jason Winnie holster. http://jasonwinnie.com/Brw_J101_pic.html

I ordered it on December 26'th, got it today. Not a bad turnaround for a handmade holster. I am still waiting for some leatherwork I purchased back in September from another leather maker. (his website listed the wait time).

This holster is impressive, especially for the price. I paid around $70 shipped. Most leather holsters start at $70 and go way up, depending on the type of leather. The gun fits like a glove, you can hold it upside down and shake it and the gun stays in place.

Depending on the stiffness of the belts, will most likely buy a matching belt from the guy. Very impressed with the quality.

Have no clue ASUS although I know that there are many firearms here, in third place worldwide. Never seen someone carrying a gun except the police. AFAIK laws here are a bit more stringent. Google or Wikipedia is your friend if you really wanna know.

I have friends with expensive taste and a bigger budget than I have. They tend toward the mid priced leather. Plus, the flip flop holster does not do much as far as the 'concealed' part of CCL. :-D

Plus, I think even the Waffle House would kick you out for a holster like that. Has to violate some sanitation rule...

Asus, is that one of those Sherpa retention type holsters?

    Serpa yep
    Works really good
Release on the draw with the trigger finger, feels natural

Be careful with the trigger finger. I am sure you are. Those are not allowed in some classes for potential safety/liability issues.

Nothing against the holster, there is YouTube video of the 'only man in this room qualified to handle this gun' holstering it with his finger in the trigger guard and shooting himself.

Different holster style, this guy had trigger finger issues.:-D:-D

OK, worn this holster for a few days now. Love it. In the past, when I got home, I wanted to take the dang thing off. This one, still wearing it
    at almost 9PM.

If you need leather goods, I highly recommend Jason Winnie.

That's a nice looking holster. I'll check them out. Been looking for a new CC holster for my Glock 27.

I try to avoid the Waffle House.

I think I have a picture that you might like... Nothing against Waffle House employees, but just no. I mean really, no thanks. :-D:-D

I know nothing about holsters, but looks like a nice piece of leather. :)

So, when do you wear your gun? All the time?

It is a nice looking holster. Got a matching belt ordered. :-D And I wear the gun almost every time I leave the house. I can carry at work, so I usually only take it off If I am going to a 'gun free zone'. Gun free zones here are schools, places with an on premise alcohol license (not sure about restaurants), Fed Ex building, and of course the court house and police stations, and polling places.

I will neither confirm nor deny this looks a whole lot like the Waffle House (AKA "Awful Waffle") in my bailiwick . . . :-D

Knowing me, I'd forget all about the obnoxious thing and enter all those areas. :p

That is the Waffle House in Monroe, LA. I took the picture one afternoon at lunch. Not pictured is the Lebanese food place to the right, that has belly dancers...

Situational awareness is a good thing. ;)

Besides the Post Office and polling places, I avoid all the others. Will not shop at a place that does not allow concealed carry.

Got my new gun belt in today. Love it. Much stiffer than the old one, easier to draw the gun. And comfortable... OMG! Will have to get rid of the shiny belt buckle, but no problem there.

This thing looks so nice, I felt bad taking a picture of it with a polymer gun, so added an American Classic in blued steel and wood as a prop. :-D

Rifle is a Marlin JB 45/70. I am safe if elephants ever declare war on humans. :cool
