    Hey Avation :) First off you might want to uninstall MacAfee. It uses a LOT of resource all by itself. For pros and cons on this program read this thread. It will help you to decide.

    yes i do agree that sometimes it's obvious that mcafee does eat quite a bit but for all practical purposes it seems to run quite well for me and never slows down any of the programs i'm running..ie flight sims or current simulation type games with multiple add-ons and such. mainly i'm curious about all the extra crap that can be gotten rid of.

    yeah i've used bv.com quite a bit in the past with my laptop and such getting things going with service configs and such but my main concern is getting the hack this stuff taken care of at the moment..i do things piece by piece...but i do agree...bv and a few others are nice guides for setting up a new puter
