New HP Laptop - PreInstalled Software

Here is a list of my PreInstalled Software on my new laptop...I have only installed a couple things like Office 2004 and AVG. I can't think of anything else right now. I also did uninstall a few programs already so of what is left....what can I uninstall?

Hi

Well seems as if you have already done a good job of de-crapifying the PC from the default apps installed.

Out of that list, only things I would remove are:

Google Toolbar

Cards_Calendar_OrderGift_DoMorePlugout ( dunno if you installed this or would be creating cards, if not not worth leaving on PC )

SlingPlayer / SlingBox tour ( is this the full product or a trial? if trial and not going to buy it then remove )

Viewpoint Media Player ~ while not bad is not something I know our Malware team recomend being resident on a PC and they ask always for this to be removed.

Java(TM) 6 Update 2

Java(TM) 6 Update 5 ~ Remove both of these as they are old versions and install this latest one Sun Java Runtime Environment 6 Update 6 ( Java software does not rollup update but needs older to be uninstalled and latest to be installed, hence the two versions in Add/remove )

Could use this to remove some others if found PC De-Crapifier as many items installed on OEMs are trial versions.
