down by the MS clock. It relates to Java (TM) 2 platform. (Version 1.5.0)

It looks like an old fashioned light shaped like a cup of tea, on a saucer, with a flame out the top.

There is an option to hide the icon.
Maybe it has always been there and I accidently "un-hid" it, doing some "tweaking".confused

Can anyone throw some light on it.
    Where did it come from?
    What program/s use it?
    Can I delete it?
Should I just hide it and forget it?

Do I need to hack the Registry to get rid of it?

I like to be in control on what appears in my PC. so any insight will be helpful. Bazza

Gonna stir up my Broadband company and find out what is delaying the implementation of their ADSL+2 service. I've been enrolled since August 2006 and they keep postponing the start for various reasons. To be fair to them, I think a lot has been the fault of our monopoly Telecom company falling behind in the installation of the service.

jusched doesn't need to run all the time. You can use a good program like What's Running or WinPatrol to control it, or just go to msconfig and uncheck Java update(jusched). Icon will not be there on next boot.

Don't forget to periodically update your Java manually.

Did you recently install Limewire by chance? It installs the Java as it requires it in order to run. I'm sure there's plenty of other programs which do the same.

Icon had vanished the next day, anyhow, but I downloaded and installed the new version.:cool

    I do not use Limewire.

I do use WinPatrol and I notice that Java is listed as an IE helper

As for living in the boonies, Cairns is the gateway to far North Quieensland and we get over 1,500,000 visitors a year.:D
