new issue with Outlook express.....

Been using this prog for many years as I find it simple and easy to use.
Anyhow, now it is giving me a problem. Just a few minutes ago, I deleted some old e-mails and then emptied the deleted mails from the deleted folder. Nothing new, I have done this before. When I clicked on my inbox, all I got was an hourglass. Finally, I got a not responding message from OE. I closed the prog and re-opened, same thing....thinking followed by a not responding message. I restarted the pos machine and still same bit. Any suggestions?

well that program actually doesn't work, if you don't buy it, but I fixed OE. I just lost all my messages in my Inbox. Thanks anyhow!

 

You do use File>Compress all folders occassionally?
It works like the trash can on the desktop, you delete the file headers but the space is still taken up. Compressing the files in OE frees up the space.
