New keyboard

I had to replace my old trusty 8 dollar keyboard today,, so I bought one Walmart had on sale for 20 bucks.

Got it home, and plugged it in and booted up.



That was when I really looked at this thing. It has a million keys,, about 2 hundred buttons, flashing lights, spinning whirlygigs,, Markings that wouldn't make sense to the most advanced linguist,,


This thing scares the Hell outta me.

 

It sounds like a control panel from one of those old star trek things.

Take a picture of it and post it here, I wanna see it. Or give me a link to a picture of it like on walmart.com or something. Now I'm curious.

 

Does it have a steering wheel?

I have a Memorex keyboard and it has a whole extra panel of stuff that I can't even make work! Office Max $14. Looks nice though

 

Hoo - boy -- you ain't kidding there! (about the picture of the keyboard that is)

 

(heart racing, eyes bulged out.........drool) Dang north, I have never seen one that nice around here.

You are right! WOW! Well think of it this way, when your friends come over and they see this keyboard they will think your a super geek. Just act like you actually use all the buttons and they will never underestimate your geekiness again.

I push buttons, and very strange things happen,, this is kinda fun though. I pushed one that looked sorta like the woman sign,, (the O with a small cross at the bottom) and the thing shut my computer down,,, Go figure,,

 

i don't think i would ever get any typing done with that keyboard. i'd get sidetracked fiddlin with all the extra buttons.

Yeah, I would be typing my school essays and then suddenly I would see a cool looking button I had never seen before and bang... I would be playing with it for like 20 minutes.

Yeah since before you said you pressed one and it shutdown your computer. You could be doing a project or something big and working for hours and accidentally press that thing.

 

Like I said,, That button had a thing that looked like the woman sign. I shoulda known it would shut down a computer.


I'm lucky I don't have to reformat after that.

 

If they don't know what those thingys are, they should keep their hands off the hardware. They could do some damage.

Yeah, when you first get a new keyboard you gotta press the keys extremely hard to wear it in. Do this for about a week!

 

Don't do it Dale. (I heard it will make you go blind).
