new keyboard

hey i just got a new keyboard..its a logitech access keyboard
for some reason when i play ut2004 my F1,F2 etc. buttons dont work. i cant bring up any menus, or score boards...the only button taht are woring is the letters and the key esc...why? do i need to install the drivers that came with the keyboard? i thought the ones from windows would be enough

I don't know that particular keyboard but let me suggest something is applicable to your situation it might provide some help (workaround).

If the keyboard (most if not all multimedia keyboards do) did come with a driver/utility CD and you installed it and that particular process/app was running in the background it might be causing the problem since it might take presendence over the game's pre-configured keys.
So if this is indeed the case, try disabling or even better ending the process the keyboard software is using and see if that helps.

 

I have a logitech but different model. Anyway you might have an "f-lock" button on your board. Try pressing that and it might enable your buttons. Happened to me in a few games i play too.

lmfao i used to have the same problem with counter strike. my autobuy and rebuy never worked until one day i went into options and it wasnt even registered as autobuy!!! lol.

 

it has an F button..that fixed the problem.....sheesh
