new keyboard

hey i just got a new keyboard..its a logitech access keyboard
for some reason when i play ut2004 my F1,F2 etc. buttons dont work. i cant bring up any menus, or score boards...the only button taht are woring is the letters and the key esc...why? do i need to install the drivers that came with the keyboard? i thought the ones from windows would be enough

You have to make sure the f-lock is on. I have a logitech wireless and the F-keys do different functions when the F-lock is off and UT2004 just doesnt know those functions because it isnt part of the game. So as i said before. check and make sure your F-lock is on. Hope it helps

 

Sorry could not edit fast enough.
This F-lock feature is on all new logitech keyboards not just wireless. it allows for multiple functions for the Fkeys. kinda like the capslock. when capslock is on you get all caps. when F-lock is on you get the Fkey functions, when its off you get a different function which should be labeled on the key.

 

You shouldnt need to load drivers & junk from the CD, I use the same keyboard on couple PC's, windows drivers are fine.
