New Laptop options

I am interested in purchasing a new laptop...

I would like to meet or exceed these specs:
>= 1 GB RAM
>= 2.0 GHz processor
>= 128 MB dedicated Video Card

I am looking for a laptop in which I can upgrade RAM easily and seemlessly. I am also interested in a higher resolution screen. Some other perks would be DVR capability and bluetooth wireless. However, these last two are only bonus items and not something I would like to pay a lot of extra money for.

Can anyone suggest or recommend any options with particular models or manufacturers? Perhaps best quality and value.

What country are you in?

How much are you willing to spend, and what will the primary use of the laptop be?

 

I am in the US and am wanting spend less than $1200.

Primary use will be for work which involves demoing high resolution applications
