New Laptop Was Fast Now Running Slow

Hey Yall.. I bought a new HP laptop-specs
Operating system: Windows 10 Home
• Processor: 6th generation Intel® Core™ i5-6200U
• Memory: 6GB DDR3L SDRAM (2 DIMM)
• Hard drive: 1TB 5400RPM hard drive
It was running fast until it did a windows update and I loaded the free sercurity suite that came with it. The security suite is Total Defense. I have never heard of it before. I did go through and clean up temp files But it is just not running as fast as it was running. Also I keep getting a message that pops up in lower right corner that says display driver stopped working and it has corrected itself. It does it quite often. Can yall help me?

As far as I can tell no. There are no restore points. Is the security Total Defense a good security suite to have? When I downloaded that from a CD is about when it started acting up and running slower. I know I need to create a restore point but I want to resolve whats going on before I create a restore point.

 

Total Defense will not download with Windows Update.

This is confusing...
Have you tried uninstalling Total Defence?

Let's hope that changing the display driver version helps...

EDIT: as it's a notebook, you have to stick with HP drivers if it uses both Intel/Nvidia or Intel/AMD display adapters, using the *normal* drivers will break the switchable display drivers feature
