New Laptop

Any suggestion on which laptop to buy or not to buy. I want at least a 3200xp or P4

 

stay away from sony

 

how about emachines? What's up with Sony?

 

Sony make great laptops... they're just expensive.

toshiba and IBM make great performance/price laptops.

also, ASUS make laptops that you can custom order.... and they are pretty darn sweet.

thats not bad... however its refurbished (which i would expect to make it cheaper) and its tiger-direct... which charges a lot in shipping are are not always reliable.

I am assuming you are in Canada, which may limit where you can buy... but if i run across something nice i'll send it your way.

which is better of the two and would I be able to add an internal floppy drive to the AMD one.
Some software installations require a floppy.
I want to buy one tomorrow.

 

i would choose the athlon 64 over the dell pentium system personally.

even if there is no room for an internal floppy, you can always get a USB floppy drive for pretty cheap.
